Introduction

Hi!

My name is Georgie Cranson, however I recently married this past August and my name is now Georgie Allott. I still have to update it with RIC. 

A little bit about me, I went to URI and earned my Bachelors of Science in Health Studies. I currently work for a non-profit in my hometown of Portsmouth, RI where I work to reduce youth substance use. In my role, I work very closely with the schools in Portsmouth. In the past I worked as a lifeguard for many summers at South Shore Beach in Little Compton. I also worked as a teacher at Bright Ideas Daycare and Preschool in Middletown, RI for many years where I found my passion for working with kids. I led a room of 8 one-year olds!

I have a large family, I am 1 of 7 kids and fall somewhere in the middle. I love dogs, and recently got a Jack Russell Terrier puppy, Daisy (White), after the passing of my beloved dog Yoshi (Black & Brown), who was also a Jack Russell.

In my free time I enjoy running, playing with my dog, spending time with family (specifically my 3 year old nephew J.J.) and friends, and crafting. My favorite show is Survivor amongst the other reality TV I enjoy, and I have always wanted to apply to be on the show. When possible, I visit my dad out on Nantucket where he is the fire chief.

I hope to become a 1st grade teacher on Aquidneck Island after finishing this program!
